We are a family-orientated club, sailing dinghies and catamarans on the safe waters of the beautiful Maroochy River.
We welcome those who just want to enjoy the wind and the water, as well as the more competitive sailor, while non-sailors are invited to assist in support roles - both on and off the water.
From our Clubhouse on Chambers Island, Maroochydore on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, we mostly sail the Maroochy waters between Picnic Point and the Sunshine Coast Motorway Bridge, and occasionally host Regattas on the open waters off Mooloolaba Beach. In February 2018, Maroochy Sailing Club will host the Australian Laser Masters Championship, to be sailed off Mooloolaba.
We're a volunteer-run Sailing Club - run by Sailors for Sailors. Our main Activity Day is Sunday and our regular Sailing Year runs from late August to early May, with occasional days scheduled over Winter. In 2017, we became a certified Discover Sailing Training Centre offering the acclaimed Tackers Program for young aspiring sailors.
Members are aged from under Eight to over Eighty years, women and men, girls and boys, competent and novice, -- all united in their love of the wind and the water.
Our Clubhouse contains a Canteen for members, shower and toilet amenities, boat storage and a large Hall available for hire. The Club owns a number of Pacer and Laser Bug dinghies available for hire to members, as well as a fleet of Tacker Optimists for Training.
