To all visiting Laser sailors regarding access and launching.
Hello and welcome to the QLA River titles from the Maroochy Sailing Club, we trust you have a fantastic time.
The local council has done some 'landscaping along the foreshore opposite Chambers Island, and it may not be as some of you remember it.
Travelling East along Bradman Avenue, as you approach the access bridge, there are two car parking areas.
Just as you pass the first parking bays, with a BBQ area, there is a river access ramp, and then a stretch of offset guttering marked with a yellow line.
See photo below
Pull into the offset, there will be club marshals there to help with loading and traffic control between 0930 and 1100.
Please unhitch your trailer and move it to the grass rigging area, then immediately move your vehicle to parking in the side streets.
If you do not have a trailer, pull in further down the offset and we will help unload across to the rigging area.
Other ramps and access points are -
1. Walk your beach dolly across the bridge (it just fits)
2. Western end of Picnic Point Esplanade - small ramp & rigging area - 450m to club.
3. Nojoor Rd. Mudjimba. North side of river - Boat ramp & rigging area - 500m to club
