Sailability Visit

On Saturday 26 October. Maroochy Club Training Co-ordinator, Graeme Hattrick, represented the Club at the weekly Sailability Training session at Double Bay, Parrearra , and at a social BBQ following the session.

Graeme reports —

A great day down at Parrearra basin with our new Sailability members.

For those of you who may not know, Maroochy Sailing Club has created a special membership class at very little cost for those sailing with Mooloolaba Sailability so that they are able to compete in Regattas. This Saturday I went down to watch the group train at Kawana Island and to present them with Maroochy Club shirts.

It truly was a great experience and all the sailors were so appreciative and proud to don their club shirts.

Afterwards I had a sail in the boats they use, the 203's, quite an experience with the joy stick steering, but very comfortable with the hammock seats.

At the end of the session there was talk of Maroochy being invited down for a Christmas get together and fun races, bring it on I say!

Graeme has shared some pictures of our Sailability members in action, on and off the water!
