SAILING REPORT - Sunday 9 September

A nice Spring day with a 10knot Easterly breeze greeted sailors.

Morning activities included Adventure Sailing in the Club Pacers while the Tackers 3 group went through their drills with Casey.

Afternoon racing was part of the Short Course Series, with Race Officer Neil Noble setting a tight triangular course for the 5 races. He was assisted on the water by Gard Saunders and Stuart House in the Support Boat.

Phil Gray led the Division One boats around the course in his Impulse dinghy, taking out all five races.

Results for Division Two, were shared between John Ladewig,  Rhys Jones and visitor James Grieve, while Mike, David and Meryl had a good tussle behind the leaders.

Good to see a small fleet of Optimists take to the water, with Riley House taking all five races. A great effort by Cody Markey to finish all five races in his first afternoon of racing while Baden Johnson completed his first race in an Optimist.

Next Week - Sunday 16 September

Morning - Adventure Sailing Training

Afternoon - Races 3 and 4 of the Spring Long Course Series with RO Mike Groves.
