Sunday morning did not break with enticing conditions for sailing - drizzling showers and very little wind, although after the recent dry spell, the showers were most welcome.

The Tackers 3 Training Fleet launched on Sunday morning under the watchful eye of coach, Casey Sutherland. They did manage some sailing but were heavily impacted by the lack of wind and strongly flowing tide that made progress difficult.

After a BBQ lunch and some socialising, it was apparent that only a few boats were interested in an afternoon Fun Race and given that the showers were now heavier and the wind had died even further, Race Officer Rob Hagan abandoned Racing for the afternoon.

A number of our keen sailors had travelled north over the weekend  to Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club's All-Boat Regatta competing against sailors drawn from Brisbane and the Fraser Coast - see the separate report from Graeme.

Next Sunday 2 September - Tackers 2 Training in the morning from 9.30am, with two heats of the Spring Long Course Series in the afternoon . Thanks to Sean Tisdale who will be Race Officer.
